What an affiliate link is

Some product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I receive a small commission. The price stays exactly the same for you — the retailer pays the commission, not you.

How they are marked

Every affiliate link carries an asterisk (*). Articles containing them show a clearly visible notice at the top — before the first link, not hidden in the footer. Technically, all affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow".

What it does NOT influence

• I only recommend hardware I run or have run myself.
• I state downsides and limitations just as clearly as upsides.
• If the cheaper option — or buying nothing at all — is the better answer, the article says so.
• No manufacturer pays for a mention or reviews articles before publication.
